Department of Sanskrit
Department of Sanskrit was established along with the establishment of the college in the year 1971. Initially it was affiliated to Andhra University, Vizag which the course is named as Vidya Praveena. After that this course is transfered to Acharya Nagarjuna University 20 years.
At present the subject is available to the students as BA (OL) Sanskrit affiliated with Sri Venkateswara Vedic University Tirupati since 2013.
History of the Department
The department of Sanskrit is a soul of college. The college was inaugurated by Anasuya Devi with long vision which is useful to poor people and also to spread Sanatana Dharma.
Sanskrit language and the study of Sanskrit literature have been balanced and ethics effectively maintained. The Sanskrit Department also provides education in sastras. Lecturers over the years inspired the young generation to keep up the spirit of study. The department conducts Add-On/certificate COURSES, SEMINARS, SPOKEN SANSKRIT classes and GUEST LECTURES.
The department conducts review meetings periodically to discuss the progress of STUDY.
